The genome sequence of Bird’s-foot, Ornithopus perpusillus L. (Fabales: Fabaceae) [version 1; peer review: 2 approved]

We present a genome assembly of Ornithopus perpusillus (Bird’s-foot; Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Fabales; Fabaceae). The assembly consists of two haplotypes with total lengths of 528.92 megabases and 473.72 megabases. The haplotype 1 assembly and the haplotype 2 assembly each contain 7 chromosomal pseudomolecules; these account for 99.73% and 98.58% of their respective sequences. The mitochondrial genome assembly has a length of 336.14 kilobases and the plastid genome assembly has a length of 151.07 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
