The genome sequence of Umbilicaria deusta (L. Baumg., 1790) (Umbilicariales: Umbilicariaceae) [version 1; peer review: 2 approved]

We present a genome assembly of Umbilicaria deusta (Peppered Rock Tripe; Ascomycota; Lecanoromycetes; Umbilicariales; Umbilicariaceae). The genome sequence has a total length of 40.76 megabases. Most of the assembly (95.36%) is scaffolded into 24 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has been assembled, with a length of 100.51 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
