The genome sequence of dwarf gorse, Ulex minor Roth (Fabales: Fabaceae) [version 1; peer review: 1 approved]

We present a genome assembly of Ulex minor (dwarf gorse; Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Fabales; Fabaceae). The assembly consists of two haplotypes with total lengths of 878.43 megabases and 877.27 megabases. Most of the haplotype 1 assembly (98.83%) was scaffolded into 16 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome assembly has a length of 480.51 kilobases and the plastid genome assembly has a length of 152.06 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
