The genome sequence of the Scarlet Pimpernel, Lysimachia arvensis (L.) U.Manns & Anderb. (Ericales: Primulaceae) [version 1; peer review: 1 approved]

We present a genome assembly of the tetraploid Lysimachia arvensis (Scarlet Pimpernel; Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Ericales; Primulaceae). The assembly consists of two haplotypes with total lengths of 1,100.74 megabases and 1,021.35 megabases. Most of the haplotype 1 assembly (98.98%) was scaffolded into 20 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome assembly has a length of 503.65 kilobases and the plastid genome assembly has a length of 153.3 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
