The genome sequence of twin-headed clover, Trifolium bocconei Savi (Fabales: Fabaceae) [version 1; peer review: 1 approved]

We present a genome assembly of Trifolium bocconei (twin-headed clover; Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Fabales; Fabaceae). The assembly consists of two haplotypes with total lengths of 611.98 megabases and 574.93 megabases. The haplotype 1 assembly and the haplotype 2 assembly each contain 6 chromosomal pseudomolecules; these account for 99.72% and 99.59% of their respective sequences. The mitochondrial genome assembly has a length of 306.91 kilobases and the plastid genome assembly has a length of 160.31 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
