The genome sequence of the Garden Ectemnius, Ectemnius cavifrons (Thomson, 1870) (Hymenoptera: Crabronidae) [version 1; peer review: 1 approved]

We present a genome assembly from an individual male Ectemnius cavifrons (Garden Ectemnius; Arthropoda; Insecta; Hymenoptera; Crabronidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 225.31 megabases. Most of the assembly (93.48%) is scaffolded into 14 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 21.69 kilobases. Gene annotation of the haploid assembly by Ensembl identified 10,644 protein-coding genes. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
