The genome sequence of the Common Wave, Cabera exanthemata (Scopoli, 1763) (Lepidoptera: Geometridae) [version 1; peer review: 1 approved]

We present a genome assembly from an individual male Cabera exanthemata (Common Wave; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Geometridae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 525.76 megabases and 522.27 megabases. Most of the haplotype 1 assembly (99.6%) was scaffolded into 31 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.43 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
