The genome sequence of the Toadflax Brocade, Calophasia lunula (Hufnagel, 1766) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) [version 1; peer review: 1 approved]

We present a genome assembly from an individual male Calophasia lunula (Toadflax Brocade; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Noctuidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 585.35 megabases and 581.00 megabases. Most of the haplotype 1 assembly (99.85%) was scaffolded into 32 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome and the B1 supernumerary chromosome. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.67 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
