The genome sequence of a rove beetle, Lathrobium brunnipes (Fabricius, 1792) (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae) [version 1; peer review: 1 approved]

We present a genome assembly from an individual male Lathrobium brunnipes (rove beetle; Arthropoda; Insecta; Coleoptera; Staphylinidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 465.50 megabases and 422.78 megabases. Most of the haplotype 1 assembly (96.47%) was scaffolded into 11 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X and Y sex chromosomes. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 19.02 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
