Annual dating app market revenues decline for first time

The dating app market has recorded its first annual decline, falling by close to two percent to $6 billion in 2025, in a sign that users are pushing back against rising costs and aggressive monetisation campaigns. Revenue for both Tinder and Bumble declined in 2025, by 5.2 percent and 9.5 percent respectively, according to the 2026 edition of the Dating App Report. These are the two largest apps by revenue in the market, an indication that customers may also be shifting from top-tier apps to newer and more niche options.
