Billie Doris McKenzie, 94, of Collegedale, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of love, faith, family, and service to others.

Born in Flint, Michigan, Billie was the daughter of the late Odell W. and Teresa P. Bullock. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 75 years, Arthur McKenzie; her daughter, Cheryl Stevens; and her brothers, Ted Bullock and Larry Bullock.

Billie devoted 36 years of her life to serving others through her work at the Collegedale Credit Union. Beyond her career, her greatest joys were found in the simple and meaningful things in life—loving her family, serving her church, and sharing her gift of cooking with those around her. She had a generous heart and a genuine desire to help others, and her life was a beautiful reflection of her faith and compassion.

Billie was a longtime and faithful member of the Standifer Gap Seventh-day Adventist Church, where her faith was an important part of her life and legacy. She will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, devotion to family, and the many ways she touched the lives of those who knew and loved her.

Billie leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory, including her three children, Michael McKenzie (Gail) of Madison, Tn.; Bruce McKenzie (Kennye) of Georgetown, Tn.; and Linda North (Jeff) of Chattanooga. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, all of whom will carry her love and memory in their hearts.

A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 14, at Collegedale Memorial Park, with Pastor Jerry Johns officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home.
