Janice Louise Odom Pate, 76, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.

A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Janice was known for her kindness, dedication, and gentle spirit. She was a former employee of Memorial Hospital, where she faithfully served as a Credentialist for many years. Her commitment to her work and the people she served earned the respect and appreciation of colleagues and friends alike.

Janice was of the Christian faith and found strength and comfort in her beliefs throughout her life. She will be remembered for her caring heart, quiet grace, and the love she shared with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Louise Conner Odom, and her brother, Vic Odom.

Janice is survived by her loving husband, William Isaac Pate Jr.; step son and daughter-in-law, William and Jeanmarie Pate III; and two step granddaughters, Elise Pate and Alana Pate.

Janice's memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
