Bonnie Renee Weathers

Bonnie Renee Weathers, 65, of Hixson, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on August 8, 2026.

Though those who loved Renee grieve her absence here on earth, they find comfort in knowing that her journey did not end—it simply led her home. Her faith was an important part of her life, and today her family rests in the promise that she is in the presence of her Savior, where there is no more pain, no more sorrow, and every tear has been wiped away.

Renee attended Green Pond Baptist Church in Soddy Daisy. She will be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Her greatest legacy lives on in the family she loved and the lives she touched. While her earthly presence will be deeply missed, the love she gave, the memories she created, and the faith she carried will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Renee was preceded in death by her father, James “Buddy” McClure.

She is survived by her loving husband, Michael A. Weathers; daughter, Nikita Allison (Matt); son, Michael A. Weathers Jr.; son, David Weathers (Alisha); and her cherished grandchildren, Gracie and Gabby Allison, and Gunner and Harper Weathers. She is also survived by her mother, Helen McClure; brother, James “Jimmy” McClure (Denise); sisters, Rhonda Logan (Ernie) and Trina McClure; sister-in-law, Renee Payne (Cecil); as well as several beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A graveside service celebrating Renee’s life and her homegoing will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15, at Friendship Cemetery at 7227 Moses Road. The service will be officiated by Rick Smith and Mike Graham.

For those left behind, there will be an empty place that cannot be filled and a presence that will be deeply missed. But as people of faith, we grieve with hope. Renee has fought the good fight, she has finished her race, and she has kept the faith. Her family takes comfort in believing that this goodbye is not forever, but only until they meet again.

“Well done, good and faithful servant… enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”
Matthew 25:23
