Lorenza D. “Ransey” McNabb, 93, of Whiteside, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, in a Chattanooga health care facility.

Born on June 4, 1933, in Marion County, Tn., Ransey was the son of Eddie McNabb and Odessa Davis McNabb. Ransey dedicated 47 years of service to U.S. Pipe and Foundry, retiring in 1998. He was married to his wife, Joyce Keef McNabb, for 70 years. Known for his love of “wheeling and dealing,” Ransey enjoyed the simple pleasures of sitting on his porch in his rocking chair, greeting neighbors and visiting with his friends.

Ransey was preceded in death by his father, Eddie McNabb; mother, Odessa Davis McNabb; sons, Randy McNabb, Roger McNabb, Donnie McNabb; brother, Charles McNabb; and sister, Betty Shirley.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Joyce Keef McNabb; son, Barry Wayne (Candy) McNabb; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Family and friends will gather at Tate Funeral Home on Thursday, Aug. 20, from 10:30 a.m. CST (11:30 a.m. ET) to 11 a.m. CST (12 p.m. ET).

There will be a graveside service on Thursday, Aug. 20, at noon CST (1 p.m. ET) at Hooker Cemetery in Wildwood, Ga.

Pallbearers are Jerry McNabb, Trystan DeNoyes, Skylar DeNoyes, Jaden McNabb, Chuck Keef and Buddy Jeffery.
