Female Customer Vents Frustration After Hairstylist Allegedly Uses Rugby Adhesive

A female customer has expressed her frustration after a hairstylist allegedly used rugby adhesive for hair extension.

A woman from Barangay Sicsican in Puerto Princesa City expressed disappointment after a hair extension procedure allegedly left her experiencing discomfort and scalp irritation.

The complainant, identified as Rica, said she hired a hairstylist who also owns a salon business to provide a home service for a long hair extension installation. According to her, the service did not go as expected from the very beginning.

Rica shared that the hairstylist initially presented a shorter type of hair extension that was different from what they had previously agreed upon. After discussing the issue, the stylist reportedly obtained a longer set of hair extensions that matched the requested length.

However, Rica became concerned during the procedure when she noticed that a rugby adhesive was allegedly being used to attach and cluster the hair extensions. Since she was unfamiliar with the process, she assumed it was part of the standard procedure used by professional hairstylists and allowed the service to continue.

Rica said the hairstylist did not complete the remaining work that had supposedly been included in their agreement. She claimed that the extensions were not ironed or colored before the service ended.

The client had already paid P4,500 out of the agreed P5,000 service fee. Not long after the installation, she decided to have the extensions removed after experiencing pain, itching, and a burning sensation on her scalp.

The female customer said the situation became more frustrating when she was allegedly asked to pay the remaining balance despite her complaints about the service. She also claimed that the hairstylist wanted to take back the hair extensions that had already been attached to her hair.

Meanwhile, the hairstylist named in the complaint reportedly declined requests for an interview and has yet to publicly address the allegations.
