A motorcycle rider went viral after attaching a touching message to his helmet following a series of crimes across the country.
Recently, Primo Baconawa, a Facebook user, shared a photo of the rider wearing a helmet with an emotional handwritten note. The post quickly gained attention online and received various reactions from members of the online community.
According to Baconawa, the photo was taken during a motorcycle ride booked by his girlfriend while heading home from work. What caught the attention of many was the message written on the back of the rider’s helmet.
The note contained a simple but emotional plea asking people not to harm him because his wife was pregnant.
Over the past few days, reports involving crimes against motorcycle taxi riders have raised concerns among both riders and passengers. The incidents have left many workers worried about their safety, especially since they often interact with strangers as part of their job.

Here is the full post:
“My girlfriend sent me this photo of a rider’s helmet after booking a ride home from work. Written on it were the words
“BUNTIS PO ANG ASAWA KO. HUWAG N’YO PO AKO SANANG SAKTAN.”
Those words stopped me in my tracks.
No one should ever have to wear a message like that just to make it home safely. No one should have to leave for work wondering if they will return alive to the family waiting for them.
It is heartbreaking and deeply alarming to witness what is happening in our country today. Instead of crime declining, it seems to be becoming more frequent, leaving many hardworking Filipinos living in fear.
I also watched the viral video of the rider in Caloocan who was brutally stabbed by a heartless individual while simply trying to earn an honest living and provide for his family. No rider, no worker, and no human being deserves to experience such cruelty. I am thankful that the suspect is now behind bars, but justice after the fact can never erase the trauma suffered by the victim and his loved ones.
I sincerely hope our riders receive stronger protection. While no profession is perfect and not every rider is the same, the overwhelming majority wake up every day with one goal to work hard, earn an honest income, and provide a better life for their families. They deserve to be treated with respect, not fear.
As someone who frequently uses JoyRide, Angkas, and Move It, I have met many riders and listened to their stories. Some spoke about working long hours just to buy food for their children. Others shared the sacrifices they make to pay school fees, support aging parents, or simply survive. Behind every helmet is a father, a mother, a son, a daughter, a husband, or a wife who is fighting an honest battle every single day.
We need stronger laws and stricter penalties for those who choose violence, abuse others, and show no regard for human life. Criminals should fear the consequences of their actions not innocent people who are simply trying to earn a living.
This is not only about riders. It is about every hardworking Filipino who chooses honesty over crime, hard work over shortcuts, and integrity over violence. Every person deserves to leave home for work with confidence that they will return safely to the people who love them.
To our government and our leaders, we ask you to continue strengthening public safety and ensuring that justice is swift and fair. Every Filipino deserves to feel protected, regardless of their profession.
Let us set aside politics and personal interests for now. We ask you to put the welfare of the Filipino people first and remain true to the oath you took to serve the nation with integrity, fairness, and dedication.
To all the fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, riders, delivery workers, drivers, healthcare workers, construction workers, security guards, and every honest Filipino who continues to fight life’s battles with dignity we salute you. Your hard work keeps this country moving, and your sacrifices deserve recognition and protection.
May God watch over each one of you, protect you on every journey, strengthen you in every hardship, and always bring you home safely to the families who are waiting with hope and love.
Let us choose compassion over hatred, respect over violence, and unity over fear. Poverty, hunger, anger, and personal struggles should never become excuses to harm another human being. Let us build a nation where kindness is stronger than cruelty, justice is stronger than violence, and every hardworking Filipino can live, work, and dream without fear.”
