Jenni’s Seafood (Jenni’s), a Cajun-inspired restaurant specializing in Louisiana-style cuisine will open on Saturday at Cambridge Square. The new concept, which is locally owned and operated, will occupy 3,000 square feet with an extensive dining area as well carry-out services.

Cambridge Square is a commercial and residential community located off Lee Highway in Ooltewah, less than a quarter mile east of I-75. Development began on the project in 2013. Since that time the community has become home to more than 45 commercial tenants, the vast majority of which are locally owned and operated.

“We are very excited to be introducing yet another one-of-a-kind restaurant concept to the community,” said Jim Cheney, who oversees marketing and leasing for Cambridge Square. “Jenni’s will bring the flavors of the bayou to Ooltewah with a broad assortment of menu items that cater to a variety of palettes. They’ve also done a really nice job of redesigning their space with some vibrancy that adds a lot of energy to the dining experience. As always, we’re proud that we are able to continue our tradition of supporting local operators with vision and commitment to quality and creativity.”

The Jenni’s menu "will offer a variety of exciting and flavorful appetizers, entrees, and desserts, including fried catfish, crawfish, and shrimp baskets and po boys with fries or hush puppies; specialty boils featuring traditional seafood pairings such as shrimp as well as crab, lobster, and mussels - all accompanied by beautifully seasoned potatoes, sausage, and corn in half and whole pound servings. In addition, patrons will have choices between gumbos and chowders and delectable deserts such as key lime pie and old fashion Cajun cake. Jenni’s will also offer to-go menus and catering services for special events and celebrations."

Jenni’s is located at 6011 Chesterton Way in Ooltewah. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday, 11 a.m. until 9:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. through 10 p.m.
