Torikaya, a chef-led modern Japanese restaurant, will officially open Tuesday, May 12 at 1120 Houston St., Suite 150 in downtown Chattanooga, near Warehouse Row.

Led by Executive Chef Erik Cielo, Torikaya brings a chef-driven take on Japanese dining built around charcoal-grilled yakitori, sushi, ramen and shareable plates. With a warm, modern atmosphere, a full bar and a menu designed for both lunch and dinner, Torikaya is built for everything from an easy midday stop to a full night out.

Chef Cielo also serves as executive culinary director for Kals Restaurant Group, bringing global experience spanning the U.S., Mexico, Spain and Dubai, along with deep roots in sushi and yakitori.

Retaurant hours are: Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. for lunch and 4:30-10 p.m. for dinner; Friday to Saturday from 11 a.m.-11 p.m.; and Sunday from 11 a.m.-10 p.m.

Torikaya is locally owned and operated by Kals Restaurant Group, the team behind Totto Sushi & Grill, Zaya 1943 Korean Steakhouse and Rodizio Grill Hamilton Place.
