RYK Modular have just introduced a new Eurorack module which houses a set of four effects blocks that can be combined in series or parallel, and can be controlled both by external sources and a collection of built-in modulation tools.

The Side FX features four independent processing blocks that can each host one of 16 onboard effects. A set of seven pre-configured effects chains are included, offering an assortment of parallel, series and dual-mono processing paths, and users are free to create their own custom chains. Effects sends for each block can be activated manually or via CV signals, and the module includes four assignable CV inputs for modulation purposes, as well as offering MIDI connectivity. For those who don’t have any spare modulation sources to hand, the Side FX comes equipped with its own LFOs, a random source generator and an envelope follower.
