The genome sequence of the Dusky Hook-tip, Drepana curvatula (Borkhausen, 1790) (Lepidoptera: Drepanidae) [version 1; peer review: 1 approved]

We present a genome assembly from a female specimen of Drepana curvatula (Dusky Hook-tip; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Drepanidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 325.78 megabases and 300.89 megabases. Most of the haplotype 1 assembly (99.96%) was scaffolded into 32 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W and Z sex chromosomes. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.3 kilobases. Gene annotation of this assembly by Ensembl identified 13,489 protein-coding genes. This work is part of Project Psyche, a collaborative programme generating genomes for European butterflies and moths.
