The genome sequence of the Dark Tussock moth, Dicallomera fascelina (Linnaeus, 1758) (Lepidoptera: Erebidae) [version 1; peer review: 1 approved]

We present a genome assembly from a male specimen of Dicallomera fascelina (Dark Tussock; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Erebidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 857.74 megabases and 855.76 megabases. Most of the haplotype 1 assembly (99.95%) was scaffolded into 16 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.72 kilobases. This work is part of Project Psyche, a collaborative programme generating genomes for European butterflies and moths.
