The genome sequence of the Reed Tussock moth, Laelia coenosa (Hübner, 1808) (Lepidoptera: Erebidae) [version 1; peer review: awaiting peer review]

We present a genome assembly from a female specimen of Laelia coenosa (Reed Tussock; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Erebidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 1,109.06 megabases and 795.63 megabases. Most of the haplotype 1 assembly (99.91%) was scaffolded into 12 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W, Z1, and Z2 sex chromosomes. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.6 kilobases. This work is part of Project Psyche, a collaborative programme generating genomes for European butterflies and moths.
