The genome sequence of the Corsican Wall Brown, Lasiommata paramegaera (Hübner, 1824) (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae) [version 1; peer review: 1 approved]

We present a genome assembly from a male specimen of Lasiommata paramegaera (Corsican Wall Brown; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Nymphalidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 480.95 megabases and 479.44 megabases. Most of the haplotype 1 assembly (99.71%) was scaffolded into 29 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.28 kilobases. Gene annotation of this assembly by Ensembl identified 13,139 protein-coding genes. This work is part of Project Psyche, a collaborative programme generating genomes for European butterflies and moths.
