A contestant on The Heat was thrown out of the kitchen after a foul-mouthed dressing down worthy of Gordon Ramsay from chef Jean-Christophe on Tuesday's episode of the ITV2 show. 

The brand new series, hosted by Love Island's Olivia Attwood, follows 10 chefs jet off to Barcelona to work with the multi Michelin Star-winning chef. 

The Heat hit our screens on Tuesday 24 February and fans have seen a number of nail-biting scenes in the kitchen. 

Tuesday's instalment saw Jean-Christophe rage after chef Djordje, 26, from Wakefield, transported a piece of meat around the kitchen on his knife. 

After realising what he had done, Jean-Christophe asked him: 'Is that a knife?! Are you crazy?'

Djordje replied: 'Sorry chef.' 

Jean-Christophe told him: 'Don't say sorry. Are you mad?!'

'A little bit, yeah,' Djordje told him. 

Not impressed with his response, Jean-Christophe told him: 'Don't you dare. Get that f***ing knife away. 

'Don't be silly. You done well and then you've just done a f*** up with a knife.' 

As he walked back over to Kat, and she highlighted that she had told him not to walk with it,  Djordje giggled away to himself. 

Jean-Christophe fumed: 'You're not having a laugh, are you?'

'I'm not!' Djordje told him. 

The chef then told him to get outside.  

Trying to explain his decision, Jean-Christophe was having none of it and said: 'Get back over there before you p*** me off.' 

It comes after The Heat descended into chaos with diners evacuated from the restaurant following a chef's major blunder - with their boss fuming 'I can barely stand to look at you'.

Earlier this week, contestant chef Tom hoped to impress Jean-Christophe by leading the night's service.

However, mishap after mishap occurred with renowned chef and restauranteur Jean-Christophe becoming frustrated.

Such gaffes included food with fingerprints, missed details, and in one instance, a metal tube still left inside where pastry was being shaped.

The night took an even bigger turn when a kitchen pan caught fire, with the chefs attempting to blow it out. 

Smoke soon swelled around the room, setting off the kitchen's loud smoke alarms in the process.

Jean-Christophe ordered everyone to leave the building, as the chefs exited and the servers led out the guests.

One server looked visibly mortified as she said: 'I’m so embarrassed I can barely even look at the guests.'

Addressing the rising chefs, Jean-Christophe said he could 'barely stand' to look at them.

In a further sting, one table was filled by a large bridal party, with the bride highlighting how she hadn't enjoyed most of the food served. 

When decision time came, Tom was the one ultimately eliminated and sent home from the contest. 

Speaking previously about The Heat, host Olivia said: 'It is such an honour to host this brand-new format.

'Being at the helm of something this fresh and exciting is a total pinch-me moment.'

And chef Jean-Christophe, known for his drive and intensity in the kitchen, said he was equally 'thrilled' to join the exciting new series.

'I'll be using my passion and unique teaching style to push these young chefs to dig deep, stay sharp and prove they have what it takes to grow, evolve, and make their mark,' he said.

Jean-Christophe continued: 'I'll mentor them to use all five senses together and put it all on the plate, the right way,' he continued.

'It's going to be a wild ride, and I know we'll discover some true culinary stars along the way. I'm ready. Let's do this. Allez, Allez - bon appétit.' 

Following the first episode, insiders said how bosses struggled to entice diners inside the pop-up restaurant and that only alcohol-free Prosecco was served to arriving guests.

They told The Sun: 'The diners waited for nearly two hours for their main courses while shouting and screaming could be heard from the kitchen.

'They didn't even have any alcohol to keep them going – just some warm non-alcoholic Prosecco.'

The fiery show has already lived up to its name, with trailers showing how the restaurant was evacuated mid competition amid a small, contained fire.

While it was quickly brought under control, it is claimed The Heat's filming schedule was disrupted as a result.

The show source added how the starters were 'lukewarm' and the traditional Spanish omelette on the menu was served without its 'staple' ingredient, potatoes.

It was said to have left Jean-Christophe furious with the head chef he had placed in charge of the kitchen, and ordered him to 'leave the premises' while refusing to shake his hand.
