There's more to the Love Island stars' feud that viewers completely missed

Love Island stars Lola Deal and Julia Majchrzak weren't always butting heads in the villa.

ITV viewers have been watching the duo's feud brew since the end of Casa Amor, and they've firmly taken Julia's side in the fight. It all started when Lola's long-term partner Sean Fitzgerald revealed Julia had been flirting with him during Casa.

This left Lola furious because she believed Julia should have known that Sean was off-limits. The detective later confronted Julia and openly questioned why she would pursue the only man who was in an exclusive partnership in the villa.

But Julia defended herself, and pointed out that Lola should be upset with Sean since he owed her loyalty during Casa.

We have since watched a string of frosty interactions between the pair, but Lola claims they had friendly chats and even leaned on one another in hard times.

Speaking on Love Island: Aftersun following her recent eviction, Lola shed light on their feud.

"I feel like from very early on, I was trying to squash it and be civil," she explained. "I think, obviously, a lot of that wasn't shown. But me and Julia had good conversations in there."

The ITV star went on to reveal that she even offered Julia a shoulder to cry on when one of her closest friends was dumped. Lola said: "When Charleen left, I was consoling her a lot."

Charleen Murphy was a fellow Casa Amor bombshell who was evicted after just a few days in the main villa. Julia was left visibly upset after the dumping, and it seems Lola was there to offer words of support.

Lola and Sean also revealed that they actually resolved the drama but Julia kept revisiting it. This probably explains why Lola refused to engage in any more conversations about their feud.

She shared: "It sort of kept coming out of the blue [...] it was being brought up and up and up. I think, in the end, it was just very much a difference of opinions, agree to disagree.

"But obviously it's quite hard when someone just keeps bringing it back up. I think that does make it difficult. But I was always happy to move on from it."

By the time the couple left the villa, they claim they were "civil" with everyone. Sean even argued that people are making the whole feud a bigger deal than it was.
