Anything could happen at the World Cup quarterfinals, and Ellie Goulding is ready. The British pop star announced Friday (July 10) that she’ll be performing during halftime of England’s quarterfinal match against Norway, voicing her emphatic support for her home country in an Instagram post.

Goulding shared the news with followers by posting photos of herself wearing a soccer jersey and jumping excitedly on her bed. She wrote, “Performing at the @fifaworldcup quarter final for England vs Norway has me feeling like truly anything could happen…”

In the caption, she added that she’s definitely biased going into the match where she’ll perform. “I already know the boys will make England proud, it’s coming home,” she boasted.

The two teams will continue their quest for the World Cup trophy on Saturday (July 11), facing off at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Whoever wins will continue on in the tournament, which will end with the World Cup Final on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., featuring a first-of-its-kind halftime show curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin that will see co-headliners Justin Bieber, BTS, Madonna and Shakira take the stage.

Goulding has long been cheering on Team England in the World Cup, which takes place every four years. After the country won a big match in the tournament in 2018, she trolled followers by pretending to tease “new music” while actually posting a video of herself singing “Three Lions (Football’s Coming Home),” a 1996 anthem by David Baddiel, Frank Skinner and the band the Lightning Seeds that the country has adopted as a victory anthem.

Another British pop star who’s rallying for England this year is Ed Sheeran, who recently visited the team’s practice camp in Kansas City, Mo., as part of a long tradition of performing for the players. “Anyone can win, and I think it’ll be us,” he said in a clip posted Thursday (July 10).
