UJAM have just introduced two new virtual instruments that bring together a versatile selection of MPC-inspired drum grooves, classic bass and lead sounds and a selection of digital textures. Designed to complement each other, Beatmaker Bounce and Usynth Bounce deliver a wide variety of patches that draw their inspiration from the sounds of late-90s and early-2000s R&B, hip-hop and club music.
Beatmaker BounceBeatmaker Bounce focuses on the drum machines and sampling techniques that shaped R&B, hip-hop and dance music around the turn of the millennium. Its MPC-inspired sound combines tight, punchy drums with groove-focused rhythms, allowing producers to move between laid-back R&B patterns and more energetic hip-hop and club beats. The plug-in includes 10 drum kits and mix presets, along with 25 styles that cover a range of rhythmic approaches, while a Juggle control facilitates reverse and beat-repeat effects.
Usynth BounceUsynth Bounce then takes inspiration from the digital workstation synthesizers that became a defining part of late-'90s and early-2000s music production. Drawing on the character of instruments such as the Korg Triton, its sound palette covers everything from punchy basses and bright synth leads to funky clavs, keys, world-influenced instruments, synth stabs and layered orchestral textures. The plug-in boasts a collection of 100 synthesizer patches and 100 global presets, and benefits from a built-in sequencer/arpeggiator and multi-effects processor.
CompatibilityBeatmaker Bounce and Usynth Bounce are both supported on PCs running Windows 10 or above, and Macs running macOS 10.15 and later. VST2, VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.
