Calling UK transport authorities: apply to speak at the UITP Summit 2027

The Urban Transport Group (UTG) is encouraging its member transport authorities to apply to speak at the UITP Summit in Hamburg, Germany, in 2027.
UITP, the International Association of Public Transport (of which UTG is a member), hosts its annual summit in a different city each year. For 2027, the Summit heads back to Hamburg, where the event was last held in 2025.
The UITP Summit takes place from 14 to 17 June 2027 and is the definitive public transport event for the sector. It welcomes public transport professionals ranging from authorities, operators, industry suppliers, and policy makers from across the world. It attracts over 10,000 attendees from 110 countries, and features over 370 speakers across more than 80 sessions.
The call for speakers is now open until 30 October 2026. UITP is eager to hear from speakers from across the transport sector to share their expertise and help drive innovation and advance public transport worldwide. Topics which will be explored at the Summit are structured around people (such as accessibility, safety and workforces); operations (including network performance, integration and infrastructure); technology and data (from AI to cyber security); and policy and planning (such as funding, governance and regulation).
Applications for the congress and expo sessions are assessed through a separate evaluation and selection progress. Congress sessions are open to public transport professionals and relevant stakeholders from around the world and focus on strategic insights, innovative practices and practical experiences. Expo sessions are reserved for companies exhibiting at the Summit.
UTG is hosting a short webinar for its members and UK-based members of UITP on Monday 19 October from 14:00 to 14:30 (UK time), where representatives from UITP will explain how to apply to speak at the Summit.
