at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey, California invites applications for a post-doctoral position with the start date in September 2026 or soon thereafter. Successful applicants will work with Prof. Oleg Godin and NPS students on NSF- and ONR-sponsored projects focused on distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) and acoustic characterization of the ocean and seabed using either DAS data or data acquired by a network of single-hydrophone, moored, near-bottom receivers.

The researcher will come to NPS as a National Research Council (NRC) research associate for a one-year term with possibility for a longer-term extension.  NRC RAP research opportunity # 662.10.07.C0435 will be used to fill the post-doc position, see
