The genome sequence of the fish louse, Anilocra frontalis Milne Edwards, 1840 (Isopoda: Cymothoidae) [version 1; peer review: awaiting peer review]

We present a genome assembly from an individual Anilocra frontalis (fish louse; Arthropoda; Malacostraca; Isopoda; Cymothoidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 8,854.04 megabases. Most of the assembly (96.38%) is scaffolded into 8 chromosomal pseudomolecules. No obvious sex chromosome was identified. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 33.66 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
