In a post on Tuesday, August 18, Zsa Zsa said she was “getting ready” to board a flight when she noticed two airport staff members talking to each other.
“I can hear them talking even though I’m wearing my noise reduction headsets. I kept checking if they were on or off,” Zsa Zsa wrote on X (formerly Twitter), referring to the function of her headphones.
“Anyway, while typing this, I had to tell them I could hear them. Nag-sorry naman. Sana matuto na din tayong mga Pinoy na may ethics sa work,” she added.
“Ako din, guilty sa ganyan, and I catch myself talking too loud sa katabi ko,” the singer-actress said.
I’m seated getting ready to board for my flight and two airport employees are talking beside each other. I can hear them talking even though I’m wearing my noise reduction headsets. I kept checking if they were on or off. Anyway, while typing this I had to tell them I could hear…

Her post drew mixed reactions from Filipinos online, with some questioning her concern about the airport employees’ conversation.
“If they’re not at the counter I don’t see any reason why this is an issue. In general, as long as it’s not too loud, it doesn’t need policing. It’s in our DNA to talk [or] chat, and let’s be real, is whispering something you’d do for a long time? One can also move away from the noise,” an X user wrote.
“Para ‘yun lang? Move to another seat or get a better noise-canceling headset like others are suggesting. ‘Di naman biro work nila, minsan pang-relax kahit paano ‘yung nag-uusap. I’ve encountered this many times at ‘di lang sa Pinas, natutuwa pa nga ako kasi kahit paano, nalilibang sila. ‘Di naman ear-shattering ‘yung pag-uusap,” another Pinoy said.
“Isn’t airports naturally loud?? Lol, unless she’s always seated inside the airplane,” another commented.
Others, meanwhile, agreed with Zsa Zsa’s sentiments, saying they could relate to her concern.
“We can see from the comments above na totoong maingay at walang pakialam ang mga Pinoy sa paligid nila. Sa airport, hindi kailangan maingay kasi makikinig ka ng boarding, gate change, at kung anu-ano pang announcements,” an X user said.
“Kaya hindi umaasenso ang Pilipinas dahil sa mga taong kagaya ng mga comments dito. Zsa did not downgrade or belittle anyone. Sinabi lang niya na dapat matuto na tayong mga Pilipino na maging aware sa actions natin. Walang masama na i-call out mo ang isang tao kung malakas ang boses niya,” another wrote.
Filipinos are often known for animated and expressive conversations, which can sometimes draw attention in shared public spaces such as restaurants and public transportation.
Last year, a group of Pinoy tourists in Taiwan drew attention after being called out for allegedly being noisy while using public transportation.
