Languages, stories, music and traditions from across the globe came together for a vibrant International House Activity Day at The Perse Prep School. The event celebrated the diversity of our School community while giving pupils the chance to explore new cultures through a wide range of hands-on activities.

One of The Prep’s final events of the school year was a special International House Activity Day, bringing House Families together for a celebration of cultures from around the world.

Throughout the day, pupils were introduced to 12 different languages through sessions led by parents and staff, including Italian, Serbian, Hindi, Japanese, Twi, Nahuatl, Spanish, Mandarin, Russian, Wolof, Gaelic and Arabic.

The programme also featured a variety of cultural activities, including Kabaddi competitions, Greek dancing, African board games, geographical quizzes and puzzles, and the creation of colourful Latin American carnival masks. Pupils explored traditional tales from Russia, India, South Africa and Argentina before bringing them to life in imaginative drama skits.

A highlight of the day was a multilingual performance of The Beatles’ All You Need Is Love, which provided an uplifting finale and reflected the spirit of learning, curiosity and togetherness that ran throughout the event.
