When we asked Boston.com readers what they think of the recently approved preliminary billion dollar makeover plan of Terminal C at Logan Airport, they overwhelmingly said that they like it.

Of the nearly 400 people who responded to our informal poll, 70 percent said they like the plan, 20 percent said they don’t like it, and 9 percent said it’s OK.

“Boston is a world class city and the airport is our gateway,” wrote Alex from Newton. “A world class city deserves to have a world class airport to stimulate tourism and the economy.”

The plan would create “a light-filled grand hall similar to those in European airports,” according to The Boston Globe, and include new seating, gates, and more restaurants and stores.

Terminal C serves mostly JetBlue, which would partner with Vantage Group for the renovation of the 60 year-old outdated terminal. The firm would handle the construction costs and consult with Massport on the design. The project would break ground in a year and take about five years to complete.

“My family and I fly JetBlue frequently and find Terminal C is the easiest terminal to use. Drop off and pick up is very easy. The state police do a great job of managing the traffic. “The airport is ALWAYS under construction and a growing hassle to get around because of all the construction. I don’t see any improvements that matter such as illiterate people thinking they are special and dragging luggage onto escalators despite HUGE signs that say don’t do it. Then the escalators break.
