For over 40 years, Techfem has been delivering multidisciplinary engineering and project management services for the energy sector, supporting the design, construction, commissioning, and operation of complex industrial and mission-critical projects. Today, the company is contributing to Italy’s energy integration path through both traditional and innovative engineering solutions.

Within the Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) field, our new member develops engineering solutions for CO₂ capture and utilisation systems, the design of onshore and offshore CO₂ transportation infrastructure, and the integration of renewable hydrogen with captured CO₂ to produce synthetic fuels and methane.

Among its ongoing initiatives are:
🔹 BRINE-CARB, a European project developing circular solutions to capture CO₂ and valorise industrial brines into stable, reusable materials.
🔹 An innovative Power-to-Liquids Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) pilot, based on Italy’s first Fischer–Tropsch demonstration unit, supporting the production of synthetic aviation fuels from renewable hydrogen and captured CO₂.

By joining CO₂ Value Europe, Techfem aims to strengthen collaboration across the European CCU ecosystem, contribute to the development of industrial roadmaps, technical standards, and life cycle assessment (LCA) methodologies, and support the advancement of future CO₂ value chains through its engineering expertise and participation in European innovation projects.
