There is going to be a lot of queuing for fans today wanting to get in the grandstand.

The Grand Stand on the ninth is also full and the 18th is starting to building up as the first game of the day reaches the 18th.

A lot of chat in the media centre about what score the winner will finish on.

Plenty feel -11 could be enough. If that was to be the case, Fleetwood would have to score a round of 64 to be in with a shout.

So, as things stand, Sam Burns is the clubhouse leader heading into today’s final round.

Burns shot a record-equalling 62 in Friday's second round and quickly picked up where he left off with four birdies on the front nine yesterday.

A bogey on the ninth threatened to halt his progress, but he picked up two more shots at 14 and 17 to take command.

Burns' total of 127 shots from rounds two and three (62, 65) is the lowest total across any two rounds in men's major championship history.

Ryan Fox became the third man in 24 hours at Royal Birkdale to equal the lowest round in a men’s major with a 62 and remains in the hunt for the Claret Jug.

But if I had to pick a name from outside the chasing pack then I would go with Bryson DeChambeau as ever since the drama on Friday night I have been convinced he would win.

Tommy Fleetwood is hoping home support can inspire him to make a final-day Open fightback.

The 35-year-old got himself to within one of the lead on his back nine on Saturday, only to drop a couple of shots down the stretch, leaving him with an uphill task to become the first Englishman to win a Claret Jug since 1992.

A round of 69 left him five under par for the tournament and five off the lead held by Sam Burns.

And Fleetwood said: “I would rather be on a better score, but if I can build some momentum, if I can get the crowd going a little bit and those roars echo around the golf course, you never know.

“You daydream and you dream about the biggest things possible and then you try and make it a reality. I’ve done it most days since I was seven years old and it still hasn’t stopped. That’s what life’s about, right?”

Our photographer has been here since very early capturing fans arriving at the course. He's just popped into the media centre to file more and we will feed them into the blog throughout the day.

Aberg is paired with Lucas Herbert in the third-to-last pairing today and I've just got a feeling he might have a strong day.

I have just left the media centre to have a stroll round the spectator village. It's quiet at the minute but there is a buzz in the air.

As we get later into the day that is only going to build.

People are already getting their positions in the grandstand on the 18th. They will not move all day. I hope they've got plenty of water and sun cream.

Tommy Fleetwood was speaking to the media last night following his round and he was realistic but upbeat about his chances today.

He knows will be difficult to get to the top of the leaderboard but you never know.

Further back and three shots behind are Ryan Gerard and Lucas Hebert.

Ludvig Aberg, Bryson DeChambeau and Jackson Suber are four back.

And Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen and Tommy Fleetwood are five off the leader.

What a day of sport we have got today.

We've got The Open at Royal Birkdale, England vs India in the third ODI at Lords and the small matter of the World Cup final this evening between Argentina and Spain.

It is far too early now, but if you aren't on the course today, it's a perfect day to get based on the couch and crack open a few cold ones and enjoy a marathon of sport.

I will be out and about at Royal Birkdale today but will also be keeping an eye on the cricket then following the events here I will be watching the World Cup Final with a pint.

Nine games are already underway on the course as fans start to arrive. Many will have enjoyed a lie-in as the leaders will start later in the day.

Tommy Fleetwood finishes on -5 after a bogey on the last hole. He scored a round of 69 for the day.

The Southport man looked disappointed at the end and is now four shots off the lead.

Sam Burns and Lucas Herbert are both -9 with four and five holes to play.

So close to a birdie but Fleetwood will have to settle for a par.

He goes into the final hole of round three -6 and three shots off the lead.

Four of the players ahead of him on the leaderboard are still a few holes back so it could all change at the top.

He is currently tied sixth and is -2 for the day.

And that is a bogey on the 15th for Fleetwood. He is now three shots behind leader Lucas Herbert.

Herbert moves to -9 after a birdie on the ninth.

Fleetwood is now two shots off the lead and his tee shot on the 15th wasn't great. He needs a good second shot to give him a chance of a par.

Fleetwood remains -7 with four holes remaining.

He rescued a par after an excellent shot from the bunker left him close to the pin.

He's now on the par-3 15th.

Pars on 12 and 13 for Fleetwood. He is one shot off the lead after Sam Burns bogeyed the ninth.

It's tight at the top with four players on -8.

Sam Burns is now the overall leader on -9 after a birdie on the eighth hole.

That means Tommy Fleetwood is now two shots behind the leader.
