Kapamilya actress-host Kim Chiu shared meaningful posts, and this earned speculation that it was her reaction to the “Ryzza Mae” joke issue.

To recall, Kim became a trending topic on social media following her joke mentioning Eat Bulaga host Ryzza Mae Dizon. She called her It’s Showtime co-host Jugs Jugueta, dressed in a scary “Lotus feet” costume, “Ryzza Mae.”

Apparently, it has been a running joke on the Kapamilya noontime show that Jugs looks like Ryzza Mae, especially when he is dressed like a woman. Previously, comedian-host Vhong Navarro also made a similar joke.

Because of this, Kim Chiu received a massive amount of bashing online. Some netizens pointed out that it was insensitive for the actress-host to do that, while some even urged her to issue an apology to Ryzza Mae Dizon.

However, fans of the actress defended her and stressed that there was nothing wrong with what she said since Jugs really looked like Ryzza, and some even pointed out that media pages also had that kind of joke in the past, but people just addressed Kim.

On Sunday, while the issue is still hot, the Kapamilya actress-host shared meaningful posts on her Instagram page. She shared a travel video with a reminder to continue moving forward despite challenges. “Here’s your Sunday reminder, in case you need it too,” she wrote in the caption of her post.

On her Instagram Story, she shared a video from social media personality Angela Wilson, in which she was talking about not minding other people’s efforts to make someone a villain in the story.

“Let them talk. Let them misunderstand you. Let them have your opinion because the distance between you and them was not random,” Angela said.
