Manchester United's transfer window has suddenly ramped up a gear this week with two new signings already confirmed
Manchester United have announced the signing of Andrey Santos and Karl Darlow this week. Youri Tielemans became their third new addition on Tuesday night.
It has taken United a while to appease their fans and make market moves ahead of the upcoming Premier League season. But finally, supporters have been rewarded, as Santos arrives to bulk out the midfield after completing a £50m transfer from Chelsea and the club's goalkeeping ranks are bolstered by Karl Darlow.
Tielemans' £35m move from Aston Villa was also confirmed on Tuesday. He's expected to be handed a short break before he fully joins up with his new team-mates, given that Belgium reached the quarter-finals of the World Cup.
Another star who is currently on their post-World Cup holidays is Scott McTominay and his new Napoli boss has announced when he will return. But the manager has also given him some advice regarding how he'll soon need to act and play, as the Manchester Evening News brings you the latest from Old Trafford.

Another former United midfielder has sealed an emotional move, as Ander Herrera heads back to his boyhood club, Real Zaragoza, following his departure from Boca Juniors in Argentina.

Herrera signed for United in 2014 for £29m and racked up almost 200 appearances for the club over five seasons. He played his part in FA Cup, Carabao Cup and Europa League triumphs before departing in 2019 for Paris Saint-Germain.
A further spell with Athletic Bilbao followed before his time in Argentina and he has now rejoined Zaragoza on a one-year contract. He originally joined the club at the age of 11.
Zaragoza's official website published a statement marking his arrival, which included the acknowledgement: "Ander's return is an unequivocal sign of belonging and represents the return of a Zaragoza native at a crucial moment for the club's future."
Since joining Napoli in 2024, McTominay has established himself as one of Serie A's standout performers and his side's key figure. He also guided Scotland to the World Cup this summer, though they were unable to progress beyond the group stages.
He has not yet returned to Napoli after the tournament. However, new boss Massimiliano Allegri has given him and the rest of the squad some advice, potentially suggesting that failure to embrace his principles could lead to problems.
"I learned from an old coach. Until I see and coach players, making judgments from outside is always very difficult. I'm taking it with me," Allegri remarked.
"We'll get to know each other. Values are important. McTominay and [Noa] Lang will arrive before [August 5]. It will be important to work with seriousness and professionalism and above all, to lay the groundwork for reaching March. As I always say, that's when seasons are decided, still in contention for all our objectives: Serie A, the Champions League, the Italian Cup."
