Manchester United are linked with a move for Youri Tielemans and could welcome more new signings to the club this summer
Manchester United have reportedly set their sights on three more signings as they step up their plans for the summer transfer window. United have already been linked with a host of potential new additions and have already brought in reinforcements to their squad this week.
Andrey Santos moved to United in a £50million deal from Chelsea, while Karl Darlow has joined on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract at Leeds United.
United have also been linked with a move for Aston Villa midfielder Youri Tielemans, who has a £35million release clause in his contract and was recently with the Belgium squad at the World Cup.
The update on Tielemans comes amid uncertainty around the future of Atalanta star Ederson, who United had already agreed a deal to sign earlier in the summer for £35million plus a further £3.8million in add-ons. But Atalanta director Cristiano Giuntoli has today said: "We were stunned [by Man United calling Ederson deal off]. Now we are working on a new contract for him."
Michael Carrick will be busy getting his squad ready for the start of the new Premier League campaign, with pre-season getting underway later this week.
With the summer transfer window still open, United are now being tipped to go into the market for at least another three new players.
According to The Sun, United will look to sign another midfielder, left winger and a forward after wrapping up a deal to sign Tielemans.
Should this happen, it would take United’s total number of signings up to six ahead of their return to the Champions League.

However, the report also claims that United could “pause” bringing in new signings after completing a deal for Tielemans, whilst they assess their options and finalise moves for players to leave the club this summer.
United will travel to Finland this week as they face Wrexham on Saturday in their first pre-season friendly of the season, before going on to Norway to take on Rosenborg a few days later.
Carrick & Co will then take on Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in friendly fixtures in Sweden, before travelling to the Republic of Ireland to face Leeds in Dublin to complete their pre-season preparations.
That will all be the build-up to United’s opening fixture of the new Premier League season, which will see them face newly-promoted Hull City at the MKM Stadium on Saturday, August 22.
