First Halloween Horror Nights reveal: Enter a cinematic ‘Sinners' experience

THE MAZES… of Halloween Horror Nights are famous for their movie-level quality and straight-from-the-screen effects, with tech-rich details, moody lights, eerie music, and talented actors upping the air of simmering intensity. Soon to enhance the event’s cinematic reputation? A recent fright film phenomenon is set to debut at the Universal Studios Hollywood spectacular with layered intensity, deep drama, and scary flair to spare: It’s “Sinners” from Warner Bros. Pictures, the first haunted house of the 2026 fall spectacular to be unveiled by the Halloween Horror Nights team. Filmmaker Ryan Coogler’s highly lauded blockbuster follows twin brothers Smoke and Stack Moore as they open a juke joint in the Mississippi Delta of the early 1930s, but fearsome forces, including vampiric visitors, seek to undo the spirited revelries. Calling upon the aura-filled juke joint, reveling in the blues music that summons stories of the past and promises of the future, and not inviting ruby-eyed strangers lingering at the door inside will be some of the monstrously memorable moments Halloween Horror Nights guests may savor starting in early September 2026.
EXPERIENCE “THE WORLD OF THE FILM”: “It’s been incredible to see audiences connect with ‘Sinners’ in such a powerful way,” said Ryan Coogler, Zinzi Coogler, and Sev Ohanian, producers of ‘Sinners’ and founders of Proximity Media, in a joint statement. “Now, partnering with Halloween Horror Nights gives fans the chance to step even deeper into the world of the film — to feel the music, the atmosphere, and the tension all around them. Watching it come to life on this scale has been really special for all of us.” Guests visiting Club Juke will be tasked with a tall and terrifying objective: To “survive the night” and keep the relentless undead gathering just beyond the juke joint at bay.
“FULLY IMMERSIVE”: John Murdy, Executive Producer of Halloween Horror Nights, spoke about the vampire-packed venture soon to haunt the multi-week event. “At Halloween Horror Nights, we push the boundaries of what a live horror experience can be. Just as Ryan Coogler’s Academy Award-winning film ‘Sinners’ re-invented the vampire movie, we are re-inventing the haunted house and creating new ways to scare our guests that we’ve never attempted and are thrilled to bring this amazing story to life in a truly terrifying and fully immersive way.” Halloween Horror Nights runs from Sept. 3 through Nov. 1 on select nights at Universal Studios Hollywood; tickets are available for purchase now. A “Sinners” haunted house will also be featured at Universal Orlando Resort this fall.
