THAT DASTARDLY UPSIDE DOWN… has wicked way of returning to Universal Studios Hollywood, specifically when fall is on the eerie breeze and Halloween candy begins to appear on store shelves. Netflix has partnered with Halloween Horror Nights, the mondo fear-tastic fantasia found at the theme park each fall, in past years, and 2026 will offer a new chapter in fright: The fifth season of “Stranger Things” will get its own Vecna-licious haunted house, a fitting finale to the phenomenon. The big announcement arrived on June 17, giving fans of the hit series time to plan their terrifying trip to Hawkins and the unsettling events that await.
ONCE INSIDE THE EXPERIENCE? You’ll start in the town that has become synonymous with the horror-meets-sci-fi-meets-adventure series before passing into supernatural spaces layered with startles, scares, and, you guessed it, Demogorgons. An “all-or-nothing battle for survival” will ensue, and ensue, it shall, thanks to the powerful and unrelenting presence of Vecna, a “Stranger” monster for the ages. Adding to devoted fans’ excitement? An ’80s-inspired mug and tee with chilling homages to the series are available for purchase at Universal Studios Hollywood, with more themed merchandise ahead.
MORE ANNOUNCEMENTS AHEAD: Eager to square off with beyond-the-veil baddies straight out of “Stranger Things”? Halloween Horror Nights tickets are available for purchase now. Watch for more haunted house reveals in the weeks ahead and take a look at what has been announced: “Sinners” will also be on the roster at the famous theme park fright-stravaganza. Halloween Horror Nights will run on select nights from Sept. 3 through Nov. 1 at Universal Studios Hollywood.
