JetBlue is ending service at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport this summer due to a “capacity crisis,” the airport announced Thursday.
The final JetBlue flight at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) takes place on July 8, airport officials said.
Airport officials said they are “very disappointed” by the move.
“JetBlue shared that they have to ‘make a tough call as to how to best support national connectivity in a time of capacity crisis,'” the officials said in a statement, adding they’ve worked hard to promote the airline.
“MHT has worked diligently to promote JetBlue service at MHT, providing air service incentives, a substantial marketing budget, and conducting various promotional activities to create awareness,” airport officials said in the statement. “Unfortunately, those efforts were not enough to overcome their ongoing business challenges, which have only been exacerbated by the recent spike in jet fuel prices.”
“JetBlue is making targeted schedule adjustments, including ending service on a small number of underperforming routes and redeploying aircraft to support growth on routes with stronger customer demand,” wrote JetBlue in a statement shared with Boston.com. “As part of this effort, JetBlue will end service at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT), with our final day of service on July 8, 2026.”
JetBlue noted that the airline remains “deeply committed to New England,” including its Boston focus city.
“We know the community will also be disappointed to hear this news. However, we will continue to seek new carriers and routes and hope to welcome JetBlue back to MHT in the future,” airport officials said.
Customers on impacted flights will be notified by the airline and will have the option to choose an alternate JetBlue flight if available or receive a full refund to their original form of payment, according to JetBlue.
JetBlue began service at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport in January 2025.
