Yesterday my SDS drill decided it didn’t want to play anymore whilst removing a wall back to brick. LED light comes on and you hear a clunk when you press the trigger but nothing else. I’ve quickly stripped it down, cleaned the trigger and blew dust out but still nothing.
Searching YouTube and the video below mimics my drill and the problem was shorted MOSFETs that he replaced. This is beyond my skill set and eye sight, with the part (trigger, board etc is one piece) being £150 plus postage I’m looking at getting the MOSFETs replaced, will be stripping back to test them later, so how much would I be looking at in comparison to supply and fit them also any recommendations for someone who could do it. I’d prefer to keep the drill if I can fix it cheap enough otherwise I’d be looking for new.
