Laser-focused EastEnders viewers clocked the moment an actor had a line whispered to them off camera – and were shocked to see that the BBC kept it in.

The soap is filmed weeks ahead of airing, meaning any major gaffes would usually be long gone from the final edit.

Fans noticed a glaring blunder during a Queen Vic scene featuring Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) and Zack Hudson (James Farrar).

As the pair chatted at the bar, a whispered voice could be heard saying one of Ravi's lines: 'I can't even speak to my kids about it right now'.

This occurred right before Aaron, 32, delivered the line – with the exact reason for the whisper being unclear.

One viewer soon took to TikTok and highlighted the apparent glaring production mistake.

EastEnders viewers picked up on a huge blunder in a recent scene featuring Ravi and Zack – did you spot it?

The pair had been chatting at the Queen Vic's bar when the surprising gaffe played out on screen

Previously, viewers were convinced Jack Branning actor Scott Maslen was mouthing along to Patrick Trueman's lines in a heart-wrenching scene

Posting the clip – which originally aired on February 2 – they penned: 'How did they approve this?

'Listen closely with volume up.

'Someone whispers Ravi’s line to him: "I can’t even speak to my kids about it right now."'

They added in the caption: 'Oopsie!! Also this is no hate to the actors in the slightest, nor hate at all to anyone.

'Simply pointing out a mistake as been coming across lots of ones like these recently.'

They concluded: 'Hopefully someone from BBC sees this and can start cracking down on quality control.'

Meanwhile, it's not the first time that EastEnders viewers picked up on an on-air blunder in the soap.

Boxing Day 2025's episode of the BBC soap saw Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) deliver gut-wrenching news to a devastated Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker).

Namely, that Patrick's son Anthony (Nicholas Bailey) had been killed on Christmas Day.

Upon hearing this, the much-loved character sobbed: 'Not again, not again, not again. Two sons – why?'

As Rudolph, 86, delivered the line, eagle-eyed fans spotted co-star Scott, 54, mouthing the words along with him.

Writing online, one fan penned: 'Anyone else notice Jack mumbling Patrick's line while he said it "Two sons, not again."'

They later added: 'I had to watch it again, definitely mumbling the lines, surprised they didn't redo the scene, its so obvious.'

Another remarked: 'I would understand if it was a live episode but that was some shocking editing.'

While a third chimed in: 'It looks like he’s empathising, feeling the emotion as Patrick is saying the line. I didn’t think he was mumbling the same line.'

And during the soap's 40th anniversary live episode in February 2025, viewers picked up on an obvious blunder.

During last year's live episode, fans pointed out the same thing about Sonia's daughter – that she had some how managed to dramatically grow in size throughout the live episode

Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) welcomed her baby girl into the world after she was trapped in the Queen Vic during the fire.

Viewers were worried that the youngster wouldn't survive after staying quiet after being born.

Sonia, Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) and Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) were over the moon when she finally started crying amongst the drama.

Fans pointed out the same thing about Sonia's daughter – that she had some how managed to dramatically grow in size throughout the live episode.

EastEnders airs on BBC One and is available to stream on iPlayer.
