Research: Call for Participants Online Interview
How do educational reforms affect teachers in the classroom?

Educational systems across Europe are undergoing continuous change. Governments introduce reforms to improve education, respond to new social and economic challenges, and ensure that schools and curricula meet changing expectations. But what happens when these reforms reach the classroom?

EuroClio is conducting research to better understand how educational and curriculum reforms are experienced by educators. We want to hear directly from teachers about how reforms have affected their teaching, their classrooms, and their professional lives.

About the project

The research will result in a policy paper on educational and curriculum reform, aimed at policymakers and civil society actors working on education policy and reform. The paper will combine desk research with in-depth interviews with educators from four European countries: the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Portugal, and Ireland. By bringing teachers’ experiences into the research, EuroClio aims to contribute a more inclusive and practice-based understanding of how educational reforms are experienced.

Who is EuroClio looking for?

EuroClio is looking to speak with history and civics teachers who have experienced educational or curriculum reforms in recent years. We are interested in your experience of how reforms have been implemented and what they have meant for you and your students in practice.

Who can apply?

We are specifically looking for educators currently working in:

  • The Netherlands
  • Czech Republic
  • Portugal
  • Ireland

The interviews will be conducted online in English, so participants should be comfortable discussing their professional experiences in English.
