Im doing a simple Linear Static analysis on a 4" thick plate. All i have is 2 forces. Vertical load and 350F Temperature. When i simulate with out the temperature, stress is under yield (18,000 / 36,000 psi) when i add the temperature it sky rockets to 175,000 psi This part is real and functioning. we know it works. So the 175,000 psi is not right. What am i missing? Am i not using the correct temperature settings?
