SubtitleNext is a timed-text platform for managing subtitles and audio description. For IBC, its AI transcription integration has been expanded to support additional speech-to-text engines, including AssemblyAI, Deepgram, ElevenLabs and Whisper. The integrations give users more options when selecting transcription services based on language coverage, accuracy, turnaround time and deployment requirements.
Other updates include IMSCR import and export support for common IMS script formats, enabling integration with localization and production workflows, and HiDPI support for improved interface scaling and rendering on high-resolution displays.
Profuz Digital will also demonstrate a new Movie File Burn Expert Plugin for advanced subtitle burn-in. The plugin adds video file conversion to multiple formats and resolutions, while enhanced Batch Processing now supports burn-in operations along with duplicate and delete functions for batch management.
Batch Subtitle Conversion has also been expanded with more options for timecode conversion methods and configurable timecode offsets. Users can now configure and reorder columns to customize their workspaces based on project requirements.
For broadcasters, SubtitleNext adds extended Teletext Validation, with additional checks and tools designed to help ensure compliance with broadcast delivery specifications. A new Speaker Roles capability provides tools for assigning and managing speaker roles within subtitle and accessibility workflows.
“We understand how crucial subtitlers’ roles are in adapting and creating subtitles across sports content, films and TV programs, and we deliver software that ensures that customers provide accessible media to their audiences,” says Profuz Digital CEO Ivanka Vassileva.
