Kristen Stewart has been furiously mocked over her bizarre claim that people should stop eating burgers to protect illegal immigrants.
The actress, 35, spoke out about the ongoing deportations across America during an event celebrating Architectural Digest's latest issue in West Hollywood on Tuesday.
But when she urged people to boycott burgers to protest the crackdown on illegal immigrants, it left many people scratching their heads.
Her claim came after AD asked the Twilight alum: 'What would break your heart if it disappeared from Los Angeles?'
'Immigrants. I can't stand the idea of the dismantling of the culture that had a hand in making me who I am, which is so meaningless in the face of people's lives being completely unearthed and destroyed,' she replied.
'This is not who we are. Where I'm from, I don't identify with that right now.'
Stewart went on to say that she was 'dying every day' thinking of ways she could help, before listing some ideas.
'Do we make movies about this? Do we throw all of our money at it? Do we stop buying burgers in the daytime? What do we do about this?' she continued.

'I can't fathom that it's happening until it doesn't happen. Los Angeles doesn't exist without all of us.'
A clip of the interview was shared on X (formerly Twitter) afterwards where it went viral, raking in more than one million views.
And it sparked immense backlash for the star, as many wondered what buying burgers had to do with stopping ICE.
'What in the hell does not buying burgers during the day even mean?' one user asked.
'So her big plan is… skip In-N-Out at lunch? Bold strategy. Meanwhile the rest of us are just trying to afford rent in the city immigrants actually keep running,' someone else sarcastically wrote.
'Looks like she solved America's problems! Just don't buy burgers and everything will be fine,' added another.
'What? Does she mean like hamburgers? Like, what does burgers have to do with illegal immigration?!' wondered a different user.
'Please walk me through the logic of how buying burgers in the day time relates to immigration,' read a fifth tweet.

A sixth said: 'One of the dumbest ideas for protest I've ever heard. "We need to stop deportation of illegal aliens! So, let's not hit up McDonald's until after dark. SUCK IT, ICE!"'
'The protest against illegal immigration enforcement is... Not buying burgers during the day? No tariff pressure. No legislative push. No voter registration drive. No legal fund,' chimed in someone else.
'Just: skip lunch. Hollywood activism has truly reached its final form.'
'I don't eat meat, but because of her stupid statement, I might go buy a hamburger for lunch tomorrow,' announced another user.
Stewart showed off her amazing figure as she flashed her abs in a daring bra at the event.
She looked incredible in the haltered white satin bralette which she teamed with a pair of matching smart trousers.
Styling her brunette tresses loose, Stewart simply accessorized with a silver chain necklace and later added a white leather bomber jacket over her ensemble.
It comes after Stewart revealed she feels 'haunted' by Princess Diana, and the mere thought of the late royal leaves her in tears 'at any moment.'
The actress portrayed the late Princess of Wales - who died in a car accident in Paris in 1997, aged 36 - in 2021 psychological drama film Spencer.

But she recently admitted that whenever she thinks about Diana she becomes emotional and that she cannot drive around London or Paris without thoughts of the late Princess invading her mind.
Speaking about being 'haunted' by Diana, she told the Daily Telegraph: 'I still am. I can't drive round this city, and Paris for that matter, without thinking about her. All the love that poured out of this woman… I can cry about her at any moment.'
The star said she thought Spencer director Pablo Larrain was 'insane' for casting her as the British royal, and she pleaded with the filmmaker to cast someone else - but he refused.
She added: 'I told Pablo he was insane and he should probably hire someone else, but he refused to accept that. There were some massive distinctions between her and me.
'It was the statuesque thing. It was the eye color - I have green eyes; she has very famously blue eyes that match her ring. So I was like, "Should we make the engagement ring green, then?"
'[They] were pulling me under and Pablo was like, "You really must detach from those things – this is about spirit."'
