Footage has emerged of a hilarious backstage altercation between Eddie Hearn and Ryan Garcia's father after his son's fight with Devin Haney.

Garcia was in fine form as he dropped Haney three times during their fight before being handed a majority decision victory.

Two judges scored the fight 114-110, 115-109 in his favour while a third had it down as a draw at 112-112. 

Haney was favourite for the bout in New York but fell short on fight night as Garcia showed his quality despite some controversial build-up.

Hearn, Haney's promoter, was speaking to Matchroom Boxing as he gave respect to Garcia for the win before his father interrupted the piece to camera. 

'Big respect to Ryan Garcia, he was amazing,' Hearn began before being interrupted by Garcia Sr.

'Well done, well done,' Hearn said with a smile on his face before being insulted. 

Garcia Sr said: "That's what you get. You're a piece of s***." 

"Oh really? F*** you. F*** you, you little piece of s***. What are you talking about?", replied Hearn. 

Garcia Sr proceeded to bizarrely grab his crotch before yelling back: "F*** you, you know you're a piece of s*** and that's what you get. 

'Now what are you going to say? Luke Campbell and Devin Haney, f*** you. "Now who have you got?"

Hearn responded by offering Jaron Ennis' name, which seemed to calm things down as Garcia Sr walked towards the Englishman.

'You know he's good!' said Hearn as he reached out his hand for a handshake.

Garcia Sr joined him as they exchanged a brief handshake, with Hearn praising his son before his father apologised.

'When you win, I'll give you all the respect in the world,' Hearn continued.

Garcia Sr responded: 'Okay well give Ryan the respect.'

When Hearn revealed that he had spoken to his son already, Garcia Sr continued his apology before walking off, leaving a smiling Hearn behind.
