Melissa Rawson has extended an olive branch to Jason Engler after a tense confrontation on Wednesday's episode of Married At First Sight.

During one of the show's group dinner parties, Jason's 'wife', Alana Lister, claimed the 35-year-old had told her Melissa's relationship with Bryce Ruthven was doomed.

But in a post on Instagram on Thursday, Melissa, 31, claimed there was no bad blood between her and Jason, despite the damning admission.

Melissa shared a photo of herself giving Jason a hug and captioned it: 'It's okay Jase, you're still my mate'. 

During the dramatic dinner party, Alana, 30, told Melissa that Jason had confided that Bryce had told him he'd be 'single' at the end of the experiment.

'A few weeks ago, you [Melissa] went to the bathroom and a comment was made, behind your back, from Bryce to Jason, saying, "Let's catch up on New Year's, because I'll be single then,"' Alana claimed. 

Bryce, 31, insisted he'd never made such a comment, while a mortified Jason couldn't believe his wife would betray him.

'Oh God, Alana! I have never been betrayed by anyone as much as I have just then by my wife. Never, ever in my whole life, ever!' he raged. 

But Alana stood by her decision to speak out in a post on Instagram on Wednesday.

'Sorry Jason... I gave you the opportunity at the retreat to call out Bryce, but if you're not going to I will,' she began. 

She added: 'Emotions and feelings are not something for people to play with and I've seen the damage it can do.' 

Meanwhile, Jason was still reeling from her admission, claiming she threw him under the bus, and wrote on Instagram on Wednesday: 'Uh oh here she comes again... Alana the bus driver!'
