Tim Kingsbury is a Canadian musician who has a net worth of $5 million. Tim Kingsbury is best known as the bassist and multi-instrumentalist for Arcade Fire. Tim Kingsbury was born in 1977 and grew up in and around Guelph, Ontario. Music was part of his family life from an early age. His mother was a pianist and church music director, and his brother became a classical pianist.

Kingsbury took piano lessons as a child but initially lost interest. At around 14, he received a guitar and taught himself to play. He began performing in bands while attending high school in Guelph.

After high school, Kingsbury moved to Ottawa, where he became involved in the city's independent music scene and met Jeremy Gara. He later relocated to Montreal in 2001.

Before joining Arcade Fire, Kingsbury performed with several groups, including The New International Standards, where he played alongside Richard Reed Parry.

Parry ultimately invited Kingsbury into Arcade Fire in 2003 as the band's original lineup was being reorganized.

The timing proved fortuitous. Arcade Fire released "Funeral" in 2004, and the album's critical success rapidly transformed the group from a Montreal indie band into an internationally recognized act.

Kingsbury's role has been especially important during Arcade Fire's live shows. The band's arrangements require its musicians to move between instruments, and Kingsbury has alternated among bass, guitar, keyboards, and vocals throughout its tours.

Kingsbury also participated in another important Montreal indie-rock album of the 2000s. He toured and recorded with Wolf Parade and contributed bass to the band's acclaimed 2005 debut album, "Apologies to the Queen Mary."

In 2015, Kingsbury began performing solo material under the name Sam Patch. The project gave him the opportunity to write and arrange songs independently after years of working within Arcade Fire's highly collaborative environment.

The debut Sam Patch album, "Yeah You, And I," was released in 2017. Jeremy Gara contributed drums, while other collaborators included Basia Bulat and members of Tortoise.

Kingsbury later recorded the song "In to Trouble" for the film "Pieces of a Woman." The track was subsequently released independently under his own name.

Through Arcade Fire, session work, touring, songwriting royalties, and his solo projects, Kingsbury has maintained a professional music career spanning more than two decades.
